Greeting2. Leading-in学生活动:教师提出问题:What do you think an underdog is? Choose the

3、 correct option.让学生们通过以下三个选项作出回答。a a dog that is defeated by other dogsb an athlete who seems to have little chance to winc a company that never wins活动目的:通过该问题的提问,把学生们的注意力吸引到课堂上来;通过对问题的思考,对下一阶段的教学做准备。二、 While-class 1. 学生活动:要求学生快速阅读关于一匹黑马的故事中的第一部分。以自己获得的信息来回答以下问题。Who was his favourite player?How was

4、he treated by the coach?How tall was he? How tall was his favourite player?What team was he on?What kind of player was he on the team?活动目的:培养学生的快速获得信息的能力。2. 学生活动:要求学生们小组讨论“作为篮球运动员,Paul的优缺点是什么?”同时,预测接下来的一部分会讲些什么内容。然后要求学生读课本第31页的内容,验证一下自己的观点是否正确。活动目的:培养学生的沟通能力以及学生的阅读技巧,锻炼学生对阅读的文章的预测能力。3. 教师活动: 教师要学生再次

I wont let you down!活动目的:三、After-class学生活动:要求学生进行小组讨论,完成课本32页的活动6和活动7。活动目的:培养学生的沟通能力,培养学生的总结概括能力;同时,让学生们明白本篇文章所要明白的现实意义。四、Summary 总结课上所学.作业布置。对Paul写过一个大致概括。可以把以下四个问题作为参考的思路和线索。1 Who was Paul?2 What was his favourite sport?3 What did he do for making the team?4 What happened to him during the match between his team and The Bears?
