5、e field.我们警告他们田野里有只狗 warn sb. not to do sth. = warn sb. against doing sth.意为“警告某人别做某事”。e.g. I warned him not to walk home alone = I warned him against walking home alone. no longer, no more, not any longer, not any more都意为“不再”。no longer, no more 可放在谓语动词的前后（情态动词，be 动词和助动词之后，行为动词之前），也可以放在句子的最后。not any
6、 longer, notany more 中的not 是否定谓语动词的，故要放在谓语动词前；any longer 或any more 则放在句子最后。no longer, not any longer 表示动作不再延续，他们必须和表示持续意义的动词一起使用；no more, notany more 表示动作不再重复出现，可以和短暂性动词连用。如：He no longer stays at home alone = He doesnt stay at home alone any longer.他不再独自呆在家里。Time lost will no more return = Time lost will not return any more.时间一去不复返。 not but 意为“不是而是”，连接并列成分。如： This picture is not yours but mine. 这幅画不是你的，而是我的。，连接两个并列主语时，谓语动词的数要遵循“就近原则”。如：Not you but he has made a big mistake. 不是你，而是他犯了个大错。
