2、. Since the reading passage is a about archaeology, a strange topic to students, the teacher should emphasize more on explaining how the archaeologist carry on their work. 5、List” in December 1987. In the 1920s archaeologists discovered a complete skull of an ape-man dating back 600,000 years. It was later named Peking Man. Stone tools and evidence of Peking Mans use of fire were later found on the mountain. Studies have shown that Peking man walked on his feet and live

6、s between 700,000 to 200,000 years ago. People of that time lived in caves and survived by hunting. The fact that the Peking Man Site is on the World Heritage List confirms the exceptional and universal value of the cultural site, which requires protection for the benefit of all humanity.
