【解题思路】根据画线词上文的“The soft creatures are naturally half-transparent and get their brilliant color from algae(藻类) living

【解题思路】根据第三段的“harvesting samples of the corals that survi

、ved the environmental stress naturally, keeping them to make them reproduce, and then reattaching them to the reef. They have 46,000 corals on plastic frames under the sea.on damaged reefs”可知,Muller和她的团队正在采集那些在自然环境压力下存活下来的珊瑚虫样本,在海底人工养殖它们,然后使它们重新回到珊瑚礁上生存。 【

、解题思路】根据题干中的 Cunnings words 可将解题依据定位至最后一段,根据最后一段的“The big question scientists need investigate, adds Cunning, is how much more heat corals can adapt to”可知,科学家还需要研究存活下来的珊瑚虫还能适应再高多少的温度,即珊瑚虫能适应的最高温度还是未知的。4.

根据下文的“Anxiety is a future-focused state of mind. So instead of worrying about whats going to happen, move yourself b

3. E 根据空后的“Im going to bomb”“Im nervous, but Im prepared for this task. Some things will

4. A 根据空后的“The reason is that research shows eating too much sugar can worsen anxious feelings”(这是因为研究表明吃太多的糖会加重焦虑感)可知,A项符合语境,下文是对该项的解释说明。5.

1. D根据文章第一句“Its a rare thing now to get into a new neighborhood and find yourself welcomed by the locals”可知,如今搬到一个新的社区,发现自己受到当地居民的欢迎是很罕见的。

with open arms“热烈地,热情地”。2. come over“(尤指到某人家中)短暂造访”。3.

eventually“最终”;consequently“因此,结果”;obviously“显然”。5. cure“治好”;defend“保护”。6. donation“捐赠”;connection“接通,连接”;assessment“核定,评定”。7. urgency“紧迫”;tension“

10. A 根据空前的“Learning sign language to help Rebecca learn to”和下文的“interact with Rebecca”可知,邻居们学习手语是为了帮助Rebecca 在成长的过程中学会交流(communicate)。11. find out“发现,查明”;hand out“分发”;pass on“传给”。12. Rebecca for the

、 benefit of sb.“为帮助某人,为某人的利益”。13. pleasant“令人愉快的”;necessary“必要的”;meaningful“有意义的”。14. interview“采访,面谈”;trust“信任”;recommend“举荐”。15.

、ticipants)。16. B 从下文中的“to give the Smiths a surprise”可知,邻居们想给Smith一家一个惊喜,因此尽可能长时间地保密(secret)。17. B 根据下文中的“Finally, the time came”可知,此处表示他们迫切地(desperately)想跟 Rebecca 互动。18.

20. A 根据下文中的“shes part of this community”可知,此处表示Rebecca 感觉自己成了社区的一分子(included)。 1. have been sent 考查时态和语态。

in an effort to do sth.“为了做某事”是固定用法,故填In。

There be句型中,be动词遵循就近一致原则,此处 be 动词与 a football field 保持数的一致,故用单数形式。第二处:or and。

根据句意以及competing with each other 可知,此处表示复数概念,故用classmates。 第七处:his my。

第九处:Besides Therefore/Thus。

Dear Lucy,Im so glad to know youre considering coming to China to learn traditional Chinese medicine.
