4、painted sides of the Java Dawg coffee truck; and most of all, the tomatoes: amazing, large, soft and round red tomatoes.Disappointed by many a broken, vineripened (蔓上成熟的) promise, Ive refused to buy winter tomatoes for years. No matter how attractive they look in the store, once I get them home they

5、re unfailingly dry, hard, and tasteless. But I homed in, with uncertainty, on one particular table at the Browns Grove Farms stand, full of fresh and soft tomatoes the size of my fist. These were the real deal and at that moment, I realized that the best part of Sarasota in winter was going to be ea

6、ting things that back home in New York I wouldnt be experiencing again for months.Delighted as I was by the tomatoes in sight, my happiness deepened when I learned that Browns Grove Farm is one of the suppliers for Jack Dusty, a newly opened restaurant at the Sarasota Ritz Carlton, where luckily for

Before beginning a study, however, any scientist who wishes to perform an experiment should be familiar with the steps of

10、the scientific method. 1._ Form a hypothesis (假设). It is an educated guess about what will happen during the study. 2._ Coming up with a hypothesis before you start can help guide your experiment. Plan out a study. Planning out the experiment is essential because the psychologist needs to know if th

The ideal situation is to always perform experimental research. 3._ Descriptive research simply collects data regarding the

12、problem and forms a hypothesis according to the data. Collect data. 4._ If the data collected is not recorded and organized, the entire efforts of the study may be wasted. The best way to do this may be to record the proceedings so that no details are lost. Analyze the data. Once all the data has be

13、en collected and organized, it must be analyzed. Using previous research or scientific information about the problem, the psychologist must apply the new data gathered. Publish the information learned. The final step of the scientific method in psychology is publishing the results of the study. 5._
