But this year, some particularly large vehicles with a famous yellow paint-job are garnering their fair share of attention.They may not be particularly eye-catching, but they have loads of horsepower and are
3、 extremely important for children.School buses are a highlight at the China Auto Show this year. During the exhibition, domestic and foreign brands are displaying newly designed school buses and other vehicles.The school buses have a lot in common such as yellow paint, emergency exits, safety belts,
4、 reflector tape, stop signs, multiangle cameras and monitors, fire-resistant material and a 360-degree view for drivers.Other than the common safety features, American school bus manufacturer Navistar has developed its own unique technology for security and safety.Scott Smay, Director of Navistar, s
5、ays his companys school buses are not designed to be pretty, but rather to promote safety.This bus is equipped with what we call no child left behind. So at the end of the day when the drivers done and he parks the bus, a beeping warning will go on. He has to walk the complete length of the bus and
6、look for students to make sure that no student is sleeping or forgot to get off the bus. And he has to come back here and push this button before he gets off the bus. Compared to China, many western countries attach more importance to school bus safety.The safety level of American school buses has b
7、een compared to President Obamas car, and these measures are setting a good example for China.Scott Smay also speaks about the differences in school bus regulations between China and the U.S.The school bus in the United States is one of three vehicles that can actually control traffic. Police cars,
8、fire trucks, and school buses are the only ones that can control the traffic.A string of school bus accidents occurred in China last year. As a result, new regulations on school bus safety came into play in early April. The regulations specify stricter requirements for school bus technology and cond
9、itions.Li Xiao, Product Manager of Higher Bus Company, discusses how his company has adapted school buses to meet Chinas new regulations.The steps of the bus are made strictly according to Chinas new school bus regulations, providing no less than 350 millimeters for students to get on and off the bu
10、s easily and conveniently. If the bus is especially for kindergarten kids, we would also add flexible steps.Children are the hope of a country, so they deserve special treatment.
