18、 1st, 2017, Noah Barnes and his father, Robert, set out from Key West, Florida, on foot. Their plan was to cover 4, 000 miles across America, ending in Blaine, Washington. Why the long walk? Noah, whos only 11 years old, is on a mission to raise awareness of Type 1 Diabetes. Noah was diagnosed with

19、Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 16 months and has been living with the daily struggle of managing his diabetes ever since. According to the American Diabetes Association, over 1.25 million Americans have the disease.“When Noah first came up with this idea, initially I thought, Well, thats really charm

20、ing and cute,” Joanne Barnes, Noahs Mum, recalls. “But when you started thinking about it logistically and financially, leaving home to do thisit was completely nuts! And I started thinking about how huge this wasNoah would do something really big, and why would I hold him back from doing something
