Whatever the reason, I never stopped to dig them. My husband even gave me a folding shovel one year for my trunk to be used for that expressed purpose

4、. One day on my way home from work, I was saddened to see that the highway department had mowed the ditches and the pretty blue flowers were gone. But designer Mikhail Belvacv doesnt think that forgetting to check the weather forecast before heading out should result in you getting wet. Thats

12、 why he created lampbrella, a lamp post with its own rain sensing umbrella. The designer says he come up with the idea after watching people get wet on streets in Russia. “Once, I was driving on a central Saint Petersburg street ad saw the street lamps lighting up people trying to hide from the rain.

13、 I thought it would be appropriate to have a canopy built into a street lamp.” he said. The lampbrella is a standard-looking street lamp fitted with an umbrella canopy. It has a built-in electric motor which can open or close the umbrella on demand. Sensors then ensure that the umbrella offers pedest

The CuteCircuit company has stepped up the technology beat and invented the SoundShirt, which was designed specifically for people who are deaf or hard of hearing. How does this incredible sh

Sound is made up of vibrations, called sound waves, which hearing people can hear through their ears with the help of

29、the brain. Whats really cool is that deaf people sense vibrations in the part of the brain that others use for hearing! So how is this remarkable technology able to function? First, CuteCircuit had to figure out a way to send signals to the body, kind of like how you can feel when your phone vibrates

30、 in silent mode. Those connections the body can feel are called haptics, a use of technology that simulates the senses of touch and motion. The SoundShirt has tiny sensors woven into the shirt to pick up sound and transfer signals to the brain and body.To test this music-to-shirt-to-wearers brain co

Higher pitched sounds from instruments like the flute or violin vibrate higher, around the neck and arms.

33、As the music plays, the sensations combine while the brain gets to work putting together all the different vibrations, allowing the wearer to “hear” the concert. You might think this innovation would look like something out of a science fiction movie, but in fact, these shirts are wireless! It is the choices p

82、eople make about it that shape the world. Dan Schofield said that the system was developed to improve the quality of information collected about chimpanzees in the wild over a

83、 long period of time.“丹斯科菲尔德(Dan Schofield)说,开发这个系统是为了提高长期以来收集到的野生黑猩猩信息的质量。” 故选A。12. The researchers wanted to get a more complete understanding of the lives of the chimpanzees by studying them over several generations.“研究人员希望通过几代人的研究来更全面地了解黑猩猩的生活。”

The machine learning tool was much faster at completing the experiment. Human experts took about 55 minutes, while the computer took only seconds.“人类识别黑猩猩个体

通读全文尤其是第二段“In a recent study scientists announced they had developed machine learning tools to track the faces of individual wild chimpanzees(黑猩猩).
