Former FED governor Frederic Mishkin warns, as debt grows as a percent of GDP, and interest on the debt becom
5、es in every larger part of the budget. Political pressure on the FED will amount to hold down interest rates at the cost of rising inflation. The FED might be pressure into delaying assets, from its zero rate stands, fulfill that its huge annual payments to the US treasury would fall or even vanish.
6、 In the worst case, the FED might be forced to monetize the debts and abandon its 2% inflation target.
