1、Period 4Listening;Pronunciation;SpeakingThe General Idea of This PeriodIn this period first we will have a listening.During this section the teacher may tell the students some listening strategies,as it is the first listening lessons.As we all know,listening is a primary skill in learning a language

2、.It comes the first among the four basic skills,i.e.listening,speaking,reading,and writing.Therefore it is very important for the students to listen in the right way.Then well do a short pronunciation practice,paying attention to the word stress.At last,well come to speaking.In speaking,well play a

3、game of guessing scientists names.First,the students may think of a famous scientist or inventor and some information about his life.Some questions about scientists are given as examples.Then work with another pair.Guess who pair B is describing by asking yes or no questions.Pair work will be involv
