2、e tense.四、教学思路本课的教学内容是人教版八年级英语下册第五单元的第三课时, Section A的Grammar Focus-4c部分主要是通过练习进一步熟练运用连词when和 while以及过去进行时。对这部分的学习,应让学生先独立完成,再核对答案,纠正他们的错误,以加深记忆和理解。五、教学准备multimedia, blackboard, tape-recorder六、教学过程Step 1 Greeting and reviewT: Good morning, class!Ss: Good morning, Mrs Zheng!T:What were you doing when

3、I came in?Ss:.Step 2 Grammar FocusGo over the sentences in the Grammar Focus and try to find out how to use“when, while”.First let students say out their opinions completely, and then the teacher sums up the rules.(一)when和 while都有“当时候”的意思。when既可示某一时间点,也可以表示某一段时间。在when引导的时间状语从句中,其谓语动词可以是延续性的,也可以是非延续性

4、的,可与主句中的谓语动词同时发生,也可在其后发生。例如:1. I was just reading a book when she came into my room.她走进我房间时,我正在看书。2. Were you writing when the teacher came in? 老师进来的时候,你在写信吗?3. When he was a child ,he was always fishing with his father.他小时候就常常和他父亲一 起钓鱼。(二) while只能表示某一段时间,不能表示某一时间点。在while引导的时间状语从句中,其谓语动词只能是延续性的,而且也只

5、能与主句中的谓语动词同时发生或存在。例如:1. While Jim was mending his bike, Lin Tao came to see him.正当吉姆修自行车时,林涛来看他。2. You cant do your homework while youre watching TV.你不能一边看电视一边做家庭作业。(三)另外,when和 while的区别还在于: while引|导的时间状语从句多用于进行时态,而when引导的时间状语从句多用一般时态。例如:1. While they were talking, the bell rang正在他们谈话的时候,上课铃响了。2. 6、as doing my homework when my mother came back home yesterday evening.昨天晚上妈妈回家的时候,我正在做家庭作业。Step 3Practice1. Look at the table and examples in 4a and write setences with both“when”and“ while”.2.
