2、elp them.We can help them to cross the road,push their wheelchairs and so on.As they are disabled,it is more difficult for them to earn as much as normal people do.Thats why they usually need help in physical things.They easily become lonely,sad and disappointed.They need people to encourage them to

3、 continue their lives.We take it for granted that we can see things while the blind cannot.If you know the story about Helen Keller,you will understand why you are wrong.The blind cannot see with their bare eyes,but they can see better with their ears.They can see better with their hands.So,help the

4、 disabled while you treat them like normal people.And they are normal people.Helen Keller at the age of 19 months was a happy,healthy baby.She was already saying a few words.Unfortunately she had a high fever which caused her to become deaf and blind.Then her teacher Miss Sullivan came to her.She ta

5、ught Helen the signs for the letters of the alphabet.One day Anne led Helen to the water pump(抽水机)and pumped water on her hand.She spelled the letters W-A-T-E-R as the water ran over Helens hand.At last it dawned on Helen that the word“water”meant the water which she felt pouring over her hand.This

6、opened up a whole new world for her.Helen had an amazing memory.She could put her fingers to a persons lips and understand the words which were being spoken.While she was in college she wrote her book called TheStory of My Life.She became famous and traveled around the world speaking to groups of pe

7、ople.She met many important and well-known people as she traveled.Keller devoted much of her later life to raising funds for the American Foundation for the blind.She died in her sleep on June 1,1968 at her home,Arcan Ridge,located in Westport,Connecticut.A service was held in her honor at the Natio
