1、Unit 1 Breaking records第一部分金色教案教学设计说明About the topic and the structures单元话题和结构本单元的话题是“创记录”。介绍了一位创造和申报吉尼斯世界纪录的奇人的奇特事迹。据说每年全球各地成千上万人申报吉尼斯世界纪录,仅在2001年就有6万人申报了纪录,成功的大有人在。目前从申报资料的统计结果来看,申报最多的地区依次为美国、英国、澳大利亚和印度。贯穿于本单元的句法项目是“词语/短语/不定式/从句做主语”。写作项目是:人物档案。金色教案教学设计在单元课时划分上与课本保持一致,即“阅读课、知识课、运用课三课时/三课型划分”。但在实际教学

2、过程中,我们建议教师依据学生基础、教学条件、学校安排的因素,对课本、对金色教案教学设计重新划分课时、裁剪、拼接使用我们提供的材料,以便“物尽所用”,达到最佳教学效果。教师也可以按照我们提出的“实际教学过程课时划分建议”进行教学。Period 1Reading 阅读课Warming Up “热身”的目的是为阅读在一定程度上作好话题、词汇和结构的准备,激发学生相关的背景知识和学习兴趣。对此我们提供了Warming up by learning about “records”, Warming up by celebrating Guinness World Records day和Warming

3、up by getting to know what Guinness World Records is三种不同的“热身”设计供教师选用。实际操作中还需要教师动用诸如板书、投影等辅助手段,以达到最佳教学效果。Pre-reading 部分帮助学生了解What is hula hoping? What is jumping jack? What is somersault? 为其后的阅读做知识的铺垫和准备。Reading 是篇记叙文,记叙了创造和申报吉尼斯世界纪录的奇人Ashrita Furman奇特事迹。教师可以参考我们提供的教学设计,应当引导学生从形式和内容两方面阅读文章,并为下一节知识课“词

4、语/短语/不定式/从句做主语”作好铺垫。Period 2Learning about language 知识课Learning about language 分为词法和句法两部分。教学程序是Warming up by reading aloud to the recording, Discovering useful words and expressions,Learning about the subject,Building your structure power by doing exercises,Closing down by reading about Beijing Olym

5、pic。Period 3Using language运用课Using language 以learning about Lance Armstrong导入本课,然后是重点辅导学生阅读7页上的段文,教师可以灵活使用我们提供的如下布置:Reading for forms, Copying expressions and making sentences,Writing, by imitation, a passage of your own based on the text。实际教学过程课时划分建议Period 1将Warming Up、 Pre-reading、Reading和Comprehe

6、nding整合在一起上一节“阅读课”。Period 2将Learning about language 和Workbook中的 USING WORDS AND EXPRESSIONS、USING STRUCTURES 整合在一起上一节“语言知识课”。Period 3将Using language 设计为一节包括听说读写单项技能或组合技能训练的“综合技能课(一)”。Period 4将Workbook 的READING AND LISTENING和TALKING整合在一起上一节“听说课”。Period 5将Workbook 的LISTENING TASK、READING AND WRITING T
