2、e are ready to welcome the world.Thats the message the organizers are sending to the world as the Olympic Games draw ever closer.Paul Deighton is Chief Executive of the London Organizing Committee.Though it may only be 100 days to go or 14 more Wednesdays as Id like to think about it, we still have
3、an enormous amount to do. Those are 160 tough training sessions in front of us because thats exactly what we still have to grapple with the organizers.The sessions will involve some 70-thousand volunteers from 70 different countries, all of whom have gone through their first wave of training.Other w
4、ork to be done includes hosting 11 more test events, on top of completing the installation of 6 more temporary venues.Im delighted to be able to announce today that weve got a fantastic curtain raiser just before the ceremony starts. The Red Arrows will be doing a fly-pass to welcome the world right
5、 over all our live sites in Glasgow, Belfast, Swansea, and London. 6、rse I want more young people taking up sport but not just actively or competitively in sport. I want a generation of physical education teachers. Id like to think we might even inspire a generation of good sports writing and sports reporters in sorts of media. Maybe thats a wish too far. I dont nece
7、ssarily just want to see that in sport.
