3、ng game in the Royal garden. But unfortunately in 1890, the milu deer raised by people were killed in the floods and wars, therefore they extincted in China. Between 1894 and 1901, an English Duke (Duke of Bedford) adopted 18 milu deer which were in Europe then and raised up to now. In 1985, the Environmental Protection Department of China signed an agreement with the British to introduce the milu deer into China. 38 milu deer were brought to China from the U.K. and several breeding and raising sites have been set up ever since.
