1、Section A (1a-2b)教材分析：本节课是人教版八年级下册unit7的第一课，课型为听说课，以听和说操练为主。在教山峰河流沙漠的单词时，农村学生比较生疏，所以先让他们查查资料，上课时会就会熟悉一些。对于短语as big as, much bigger教师用PPT图片呈现出来，学生学起来会轻松一些。对于听力部分，大多数的学生听力基础不好，太长的听力填空对他们来说很难完成，所以把它整合成4段，并每段只有一问一答，这样学生会更容易捕捉需要的信息。对于难点读大数字这一块，老师先让学生课前百度了解一下读的方法，在课堂上还安排了一个听力，一个小组互助活动，还有一个改错活动，让学生突破难点。学情分

2、析：学生之前有学过形容词的比较极和最高级，对比较极掌握得还可以，但是用最高级表达句子时最易犯以下错误：前面没有the， 忘了用in/of说明一个范围， 因此，围绕主题用表格展示这些出来，并让他们观察，归纳; 学生听力基础不好，老师把1b的听力材料整合并分为4段，并先让他们猜测，对于2b的听力，学生能听出数字就可以了。Targets:1.students are able to pronounce and use the following words：square, meter, deep, long, desert, mountain, salt lake.
