But in fact I have never seen any monsters myself, have you ever seen one? However, are there any monsters in

4、the world after all? To tell you the truth, I dont know. Many people believe the creature was faked. Many cultures around the world have tales of giant creatures like dragon, Bigfoot. Scotland has the Loch Ness monster, the Himalayan mountains have the Abominable Snowman(喜马拉雅雪人), and Australia has t

The Yeti, a hairy, oversized, man-like beast, is said to live in mountain ranges in Europe particularly the Caucasus range(高加索山脉). Russia has recorded more than 1,000 sightings of the Yeti and, according t

The creature is usually reported traveling at high speeds across the lake. Water plays an important role in the Pacific Northwest and it is not surprising to find

Have people seen sea serpents or merely glimpsed real and elusive animals yet unknown to science? Or are their reports akin to the sensational offeri

The veracity of witnesses is not readily(easily) testable. Undoubtedly some hoaxes have been reported. Nevertheless, the surprise and disbel

In some cases multiple witnesses have corroborated each others descriptions. Many skeptics acknowled

The interpretation of what witnesses saw is most often not accepted by scientists, who suspect some error of observation and are wary of jumping to conclusions on the basis of irreproachable evidence. The final possibility is, of course, th

18、: This April 2004 me and my family went to Fintry Provincal Park by Okanogan lake. My dad and brother walked off into the forest and me and mom went to the beach. We sat there talking for a good thirty minutes. There wasnt a boat in sight and the water was calm. In fact we were joking about Ogopogo

19、when we heard it. It was an odd sort of splashing-paddling noise coming from about a hundred feet onto the lake. We looked up and we couldnt believe what we saw! We saw something dark sort of blackish-green swimming through the calm waters like a snake! We watched it for about fifteen to twenty minu

20、tes before a huge yacht came and scared it off. I dont know for sure but I think we saw Ogopogo! S2: This is what I saw and how it happened. Back in July 12-18 of 1994 we did a 50 mile hike with my uncles scout troop. He asked my brother in law and his two sons and me to come with him. We started on

21、 Monday from Petit Lake to Alice Lake and we stayed the night there. The hike and the hundreds of lakes were so beautiful to see. Friday we hiked to Redfish Lake and we got there early in the day so we did some fishing which wasnt good because we didnt catch a fish. So then we went swimming because

22、it was so hot. Red-Fish Lake was not the warmest water but it felt refreshing. It was very clean and clear you could see the bottom till you got out to the deep part. One of the scouts came to the end of the lake in his boat and took us water skiing. I was in the front of the boat looking in the lak

23、e when I saw the water looked like a very big fish had took off under water very fast leaving the water turning. It was about four times as big as our boat, so I was thinking, that was a very big fish. When we got back to land I jumped out to hold the boat so everyone else could get out to. Then I l

24、ooked out at the lake and I saw a large wave about the size that our boat would make. I first thought that it was from our boat but then I noticed a head sticking up in front of the wave. So I asked my brother in law what that was. He looked and said it looked like a deer or a log. At this time I no

25、ticed it was long about the length of our boat. As we both were watching this thing swimming across the lake. We were trying to decide what it was. The head looked like a horse head. Then it went under and as its head went under the back came up and followed the head. We sat there and watched to see

26、 if it would come back up. The thing never came back up. After the thing went under I kept asking him what that was. Now, my brother in law didnt believe in things like this so all he could say was a log sinking. I know it wasnt a log sinking because it had a head. I have never seen a log make a wav

27、e like that thing did. Matter of fact I have never seen a log floating at all when we were out there water skiing. Also there I watched birds, otters and beavers swim and they didnt come close to making a wave the size this thing did. I later asked a Redfish Lake park ranger if they had ever had a l

28、ake monster setting or heard of one in Redfish Lake and she said she had not. So Im hopping that if someone else has had a sighting too, they will report it. All I know is that there is something very big in RedFish Lake and I hope to see it again someday but with a camera or video recorder. S3: In

29、September 1987 we were staying on Malta in a place called Bugibba. Because our flight home had been delayed we went for a walk along the seafront. It was at about 2.00am. As we walked towards the seafront we saw a cream colored creature, which resembled a very large llama with a long neck sitting by

30、 the rocky shoreline. At first we thought it was a statue until it moved its head slowly from side to side. We estimate that it was probably 100 meters away from us. Once we saw it move its head we were a bit wary to go any closer considering the hour of the morning. We were a bit scared too. We are

31、 wondering if anyone else has had any similar experiences in or around Malta as this has baffled us for over 18 years. If you have, please email us at cyl.S4: My experience was when I lived in Maine. At my house, I had a slightly large river. One day when I was crouching down to pick up an insect ou

It was dark black in color, and seemed to have a long, slender body. It was at least 6 feet long. I could not see

33、any fins or eyes. I was probably 3 or 4 feet tall at the time. I screamed and jumped out of the water. I never went near that place again.S5: June 1st, 2003, me and my family, my uncles family and a friend of mine, were spending Memorial Day at my Uncles place in Vermont. He has a cottage on Lake Ch

34、amplain. Its located on the north shore of Isle Motte. It was about noon, and I was looking through the window of the dining room staring at the lake. We were packing to leave, and my friend, brothers, and my cousins were outside playing some ball game called SPUD. Well, I saw a series of humps rise

35、 out of the water, so I ran outside and called all of the kids over to the water, we all watched it. This series of humps (about five of them) were about 10 inches out of the water, the ones at the ends were smaller (about 7 inches). It was about 300 feet off of the shore, it headed south for about

36、50 feet, and was moving about 15 miles an hour. Now, this was no log, it was moving fast, and against the wind. It wasnt a school of fish either, because the humps stayed in perfect unison (confirming that it was one creature) and after about 50 feet it sank back into the water. We watched for almos

37、t 45 minutes to see if it reappeared but it didnt. Somebody else must have seen this also. I am told this was the notorious Champ monster of Lake Champlain.T: Very good. You all do a good job. Now lets work in groups. Think of some unexplained mysteries in China. They may be monster, or other natura

I have never stopped believing that one day I feel the outcome of turning a dream into reality to see her. But I did it in China two years ago. Ill tell you about it. Believe it or n

40、ot.One day (June 23 2002) my family and I were on vacation at Lake Okoboji. We were at a small resort, with a dock. I must make this clear, first: Okoboji is a huge lake. This lake was naturally made multiple dozens of thousands of years ago, and it is undoubtedly hundreds of feet deep and possibly

41、hundreds of acres from shore to shore. Anyways, I was sitting on the dock eating some icecream cones looking at the water. It was a calm evening, probably about 7:30 so it was still light outside but just starting to darken. The water was still, like glass, with ripples only from passing boats (no f

42、ancy boats, just normally cheap little things, and none came anywhere near close to us). When my father nudged me in the arm and told me to “look here” and pointed at a waked spot in the water. It was churning, almost creating a small whirl pool. A massive hump slowly and gracefully rose out, about

43、1 foot away from the churning water. Then it moved quickly about 2-3 feet and rapidly went back under. I remember it didnt have scales like a fish, more like a snake or maybe it had some kind of pattern that made it look like scales. It was dark greenish or blue. We were playfully freaked out while

44、we watched for more, not thinking about the safety of us. Then, we saw a head . a very good-sized oval or sphere, a bit bigger than a bowling ball (but it wasnt perfectly round, it was like a lizard or a horses head). The head arose; I could see it had the same pattern and color as the hump I had pr

45、eviously seen. It had its head out and about 2 inches of its neck, and it swam very very quickly through the water. The only part of its body that made the wave was its head, and I knew the creature must have been big, so it must have had a fairly long neck for its body not to disturb the surface. I

46、t swam probably a dozen yards, then its mouth opened, it appeared to take a gulp of air, then it went under. Just a split second later I saw the same hump role under the water, then I saw the last part of its tail (it was a fairly stumpy tail) splash out. My father and I were too dumb-founded to say

47、 or do much. Then we saw its head again and it was coming toward our dock. About 1-2 feet away from the dock supports (the poles that hold it up), it went under. Less than a second later we felt a huge bump and a large “THUD” sound. The dock shook violently for a few seconds. By this time, we were t

48、errified. We ran back to the shore as fast as we could. S2: A few years ago, I was camping at Norfolk at a holiday camp that I do not remember, apart from the fact that it had its own beach. What made this beach great was the fact that not many people went there, due to the high amount of better bea

49、ches around. A few days into my holiday, I decided to venture to the beach, taking my inflatable dinghy with me. When I was about fifty meters out, I saw, beneath the water, a long gray shape. It looked like a shark, the only problem being that whatever it looked like it was about seventy feet in le

I started to paddle towards shore, scared out of my wits by what I had seen, when lo and behold(你瞧), the creatures horrible triangular gray head, about twelve feet high, emerged from the water and bit down on my inflatable dinghy. I jumped off, swam to safety, and looked back. The giant shark and my inflatable dinghy were both gone. Nobody believed me when I told them, and I havent talked of it since. Now, I am no expert on sea creatures, but I know that no sea creature grows that big. .Step IV Homework Make a booklet of mysteries by putting together the work of all groups.
