85、igs to the test. The pigs Hamlet, Omelette, Ebony and Ivory were trained to use a control stick to move a character on screen. Researchers said the fact that the pigs understood the connection between the stick and the game is quite a discovery. The pigs even continued playing when their food reward
86、 stopped. Usually, the pigs would be given food for “winning” the game level. But during testing, the food machine broke, and they kept clearing the game levels when encouraged by some of the researchers kind words. The research team thought that the fact that the pigs could play video games was “remarkable”, since they have bad eyesight and no hands or thumbs. But it was not easy for them. Out of the pigs, Hamlet did the best at the game, but struggled when it got harder.
