2、 details.The US Supreme Court ruled 5-4 in favor of the 2010 healthcare reform law, including the core individual mandate, based on the power of Congress to impose taxes. The individual mandate requires most Americans obtain health insurance by 2014 or pay a fine.President Obama called the ruling a

3、victory for people all over the country.Whatever the politics, todays decision was a victory for people all over this country, whose lives will be more secure because of this law, and the Supreme Courts decision to uphold it.The country is deeply divided over healthcare reform law. A recent poll con

4、ducted by Reuters and Ipsos showed that about 56 percent of Americans opposed the law even though most respondents said they strongly supported its individual provisions. As for the hotly debated individual mandate, opposition was as high as 61 percent.The Supreme Courts ruling is widely regarded as

5、 a campaign-season victory for President Obama. But he spoke somberly as he pledged to implement and improve the law.We will continue to implement this law and well work together to improve on it where we can. What we wont do - what the country cant afford to do - is re-fight the political battles o

6、f two years ago or go back to the way things were. With todays announcement, its time for us to move forward.However, Republicans have vowed to repeal and replace the law. Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney renewed his criticism and called the health reforms bad policy and bad law.What th

And that is I will act to repeal Obamacare.The Supreme Courts ruling may have settled the legal dispute for now.
