The poet left his family and tried to get to the headquarters of the new emperor, but he was caught and held prisoner by the rebels in Changan. After o
13、rder was restored again, Du Fu got back his position in the capital. However, he did not enjoy the favor of the new emperor and was given a minor provincial post.
