18、on the paper. Though customs are unwritten, it can secretly reflect a mans identity. People do more things from customs rather than from reason, for it is an inseparable part of a mans life. In other words, no man can live without customs. Now please think about the following questions. Besides wedd
19、ings and festivals, what other elements are an important part of a countrys customs and traditions? Make a list and describe them.Funeral rituals are an important part of a countrys traditions. They can vary quite a lot in different places around the world. At traditional Chinese funerals, people we
20、ar white, while in Western countries people usually wear black. It is also important to honour new life. In China, a celebration is held when a baby turns one month old. This is traditionally the time when the baby is formally introduced to the extended family and friends. Table manners are highly r
21、egarded on formal occasions. According to Chinese customs, no one should sit down or begin to eat before the host or guest of honour has done so. Whats the significance of knowing different countries customs and traditions?As Robert A. Heinlein said, “Customs tell a man who he is, where he belongs,
