2、ormed the headquarters of a pro-Assad TV station, killing at least 7 people.The gunmen are reprorted to have tied the hands of some of the employees of the al-Ekhbariah TV in suburban Damascus and killed them in cold-blooded.The UN Supervision Mission in Syria called the attack alarming, and called
3、on all parties to protect the journalists as noncombatants.The attack comes following what opposition activists describe as the worst battle so far in the Syrian capital, in which over 30 people were killed.At the same time, UN investigators have postponed making public their findings on the massive
4、 killings in Houla last month, in which over 100 people were killed, saying they have been barred from visiting the town.As fighting between government security forces and opposition fighters continues across Syria, UN-Arab envoy Kofi Annan has invited the five permanent members of the UN Security C
5、ouncil, plus Turkey, Iraq, Kuwait and Qatar, to discuss the situation this weekend.The Action Group for Syria should agree on guidelines and principles for a Syrian-led political transition that meets the aspirations of the Syrian people; and to agree on actions that will make these objectives a rea
6、lity on the ground.
