Last week, a federal appeals (上诉) court in Maryland reinstated (恢复) five class-action lawsuits claiming that the cell phone industry has failed to protect co

12、nsumers from unsafe levels of radiation. Several research studies have pointed to the potential impacts of long-term absorption of cellphone-emitted radiation but little of the research has focused on the children. Because young skulls (头骨) are thinner, the growing brain may be more susceptible (易受影

Brain tumors usually take 30-40 years to develop, so children who use cell phones from their teenage years onward would have a longer period of time to see a cumulative impact (累积影响). “We dont know if kids really are more susceptible,” Lai said, but he encourages everyone to use a h
