1、Period 4Listening and Speaking教学内容分析The emphasis of this period will be placed on listening and speaking.There are altogether three texts for the students to listen to in this period:one is in the Students Book and the other two are in the Workbook.The first one(on Page 38,Listening and speaking)is

2、about three volcanologists talking about their frightening experiences in their work life.While listening to the experiences for a first time the students are asked to get some specific information about it and write their names under the pictures.While listening to the experiences for a second time

3、 the students are asked to fill in the chart.While listening to the experiences for a third time the students are asked to write the names of the persons beside the emotional expressions they talked about.At last the students are asked to think of or imagine a powerful natural force(such as an earth

4、quake,flood,thunderstorm,typhoon,tsunami)that they have experienced or heard.Tell their partners about their experiences and how they felt. The second one(on Page 69,Listening)is about a woman describing her experience during Cyclone Tracy when she was a young girl.And the third one(on Page 73,Liste
